MFRD Promotes Several Employees
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department recently promoted several personnel to varying ranks due to retirements and the addition of three Battalion Chief positions.
Captains Joe Bell, Jamie Bigelow, and Brian Lowe have been promoted to the position of Battalion Chief. These three are paired with the current Battalion Chiefs at Station 1 on Vine Street until the opening of the new Station 4 located on Medical Center Parkway. The station is expected to open in late 2018.
Engineers Doug Inglish, Joel Patnode, and Randy Shaw have been promoted to the position of Captain.
Firefighters Adam C. Brown, Kevin Defeo, Taylor Lasseter, Justin McCraven, Duane O’Donnell, and Julia Pitt were all promoted to Engineers.
“We are so proud of these men and women,” said Fire Rescue Chief “and we know they will serve our community well in these new roles.”
A promotional ceremony is planned for December during the department’s Awards and Recognition Ceremony and Memorial Service.
