MFRD to host fire prevention open house Oct. 10 at Station 11
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) invites families and community members to learn about fire safety and get an up-close look at the fire service at its Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The free, family-friendly event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at MFRD Station 11, 3924 Blaze Drive. The open house will allow children and adults to meet MFRD firefighters, tour the station, explore fire trucks and equipment, and learn important fire prevention and safety tips.
Visitors will also have a chance to see a firefighter dressed in full protective gear, learn how the equipment helps keep firefighters safe, and even try their hand at spraying a fire hose. The event is designed to give families a fun, interactive way to learn how they can help prevent fires and stay safe during an emergency.
