Missing teen from April located

Missing teen Lamar Hinton Jr., 17, of Rutherford County was located Tuesday in Coffee County, and returned home, a Rutherford County Sheriff’s detective said.

Hinton was well taken care of since he apparently ran away in April, said Detective Andrea Knox.

Tips led Rutherford County and Coffee County sheriff’s deputies to a home in Beech Grove where he was found, she said.

“I thank everyone for the leads and tips,” Knox said. “Those tips and leads were successful in getting L.J. returned home to Rutherford County.”

She thanked Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin and his deputies for searching for Hinton many times in their county.

“They were very diligent in their search efforts supplying manpower and resources,” Knox said. “We are very appreciative.”
