MTSU community contributes $1.2M, more than 1,600 gifts during 2026 True Blue Give

The Middle Tennessee State University community raised more than $1.2 million during its ninth annual True Blue Give campaign, generating more than 1,600 gifts to benefit students and programs across campus.

Held Feb. 10 through Feb. 12, the three-day giving initiative brought together alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends from 33 states. Contributions of all sizes helped support scholarships, academic colleges, student services, and athletics, highlighting the impact that collective giving can have on the university community.

University leaders say the annual campaign continues to grow each year as more supporters choose to invest in MTSU’s mission and its students.

Blue Raider Athletics received strong support through the Blue Raider Athletic Association, which helps fund scholarships, training resources, and other important needs for student athletes.

Academic colleges across campus also saw meaningful participation, along with nearly 300 scholarships and student support initiatives. Among the programs receiving notable support were the BRAA Champions Annual Fund, the MTSU Student Food Pantry, and the MTSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship.

Donors also contributed to several student centered programs, including the University Honors College, the James E. Walker Library, the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, and the Band of Blue.

“True Blue Give once again demonstrates what makes this university extraordinary,” said Courtney Brown, director of annual giving, stewardship and donor relations. “Raising more than $1.2 million is not just a milestone, it’s momentum. When Blue Raiders unite around a shared purpose, there is no limit to what we can achieve.”

Scholarships remain a top priority for donors, as more than 80 percent of MTSU students qualify for financial aid. Outside of the True Blue Give campaign, nearly 8,000 alumni and friends contribute to the university each year.

Since its launch, True Blue Give has grown into a philanthropic tradition at Middle Tennessee State University, bringing together supporters across generations and state lines while providing resources that directly impact students’ academic success and campus experience.
