MTSU Expands Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans Center to Serve More Military Families
Middle Tennessee State University is expanding its commitment to veterans, military-connected students, and their families with the completion of a major expansion of the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center.
The expanded Daniel Center brings staff, programs, and resources together in one location, providing support ranging from academic advising and employment services to mental health resources and connections with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The center serves more than 1,200 military-connected students and their families at MTSU, while also providing assistance to veterans and military families beyond the university community.
Retired Lt. Gen. Keith Huber joined university leaders and supporters to celebrate the expansion and reflect on the growth of MTSU's veteran services. The event also honored the lasting legacy of Charlie Daniels and the continued support of the Daniels family.
Grand Ole Opry member and U.S. Army Reserve warrant officer Craig Morgan also participated in the celebration, performing for attendees and highlighting the impact of the center's mission.
The Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center is recognized as the largest on-campus student veterans center in the country, continuing its mission of helping veterans, military-connected students, and their families succeed.
