MTSU Grad Studies temporarily offers $1 application fee, waives admission test for approved programs

Thinking of pursuing that advanced degree? Middle Tennessee State University’s College of Graduate Studies is offering a limited number of very reduced application fees for summer and fall to make that decision quite a bit easier.

Once the limited number of $1 application fees has been reached, the fee will return to $35. You can apply here to start your application and take advantage of this temporary offer.

Many MTSU programs are temporarily waiving Graduate Research Examinations, or GRE, Graduate Management Admissions Test or GMAT and other admission test requirements for the summer 2020 and fall 2020 terms.

“There is no better opportunity than now to apply, as it is only $1 until the discounted rate runs out,” said Dawn McCormack, College of Graduate Studies associate dean.

“Given the current COVID-19 situation, citizens in the Middle Tennessee region are finding this to be the ideal time to retool and prepare for their next steps to take advantage of opportunities as things get back on track,” McCormack added.

McCormack said whether people are interested in taking a course or two, earning a certificate or committing to gaining a master’s or other higher degree, MTSU wants to make this possible for all Tennesseans.

“MTSU has more than 75 graduate programs from which they can choose and our graduate faculty are unparalleled in their student-centered approach, whether through on-ground or online programs,” she said.

“The temporary $1 application fee combined with the admissions test waivers for most of our programs make this an unparalleled opportunity, the prime time, for people to apply to a graduate program,” she added.

Programs continue to be added, so applicants should continue to check back for the most up-to-date information. There may be additional requirements that must be met to be eligible for the waiver.

Programs are available in the Colleges of Basic and Applied Sciences, Behavioral and Health Sciences, Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Media and Entertainment and University Studies.

Prospective students should check with their intended program to discuss all admissions requirements.

MTSU offers more than 300 combined undergraduate and graduate programs.
