MTSU military-connected students can lunch with FBI

MTSU students are invited to a meet-and-greet and luncheon with the FBI from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Daniels Veterans Center in Room 324 of the Keathley University Center.

The lunch, which is free, will be provided by the Daniels Center. To attend, RSVP to dvmfc@mtsu.edu. Hilary Miller, veterans center director, said the event is open to the public, but directed toward military-connected students on campus.

“Representatives will be here to talk about employment opportunities with the FBI, and looking to speak with veterans with lots of different backgrounds,” Miller said.

This is a first-time luncheon for representatives with the FBI to meet with MTSU students as the Daniels Veterans Centers builds on a new relationship with the FBI, she added.

“Our students seem to be really interested in the FBI,” Miller said.

The Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center is the largest and most comprehensive veterans center on any Tennessee higher education campus. It enables the campus’ 1,000-plus student-veteran population to have a one-stop shop to meet a variety of academic needs.

The 3,200-square-foot center is located in the Keathley University Center, right in the heart of the MTSU campus. The center is a place for MTSU’s student veterans to study, to gather and to get help from fellow veterans, who will serve as peer advisers and sponsors.
