New $19M Ascension Saint Thomas ER Coming to Lascassas Pike in Murfreesboro

We’ve got a new construction update in Murfreesboro. While we’re near the new MMC building off Lascassas Pike for reference, the real news is happening right across the street.

Ascension Saint Thomas has officially received approval for a new $19 million freestanding emergency room at the corner of East Pitts Lane and Lascassas Pike.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• 10 treatment rooms plus a dedicated trauma room
• On-site CT, X-ray, and ultrasound services
• Full lab services available
• Expected to bring 32 new jobs to the area

This new facility is part of Ascension Saint Thomas’s long-term plan to invest $600 million into Rutherford County over the next 15 years. The design will be similar to their Westlawn ER off Veterans Parkway and will expand their reach about 6 miles beyond the main hospital.

Construction is expected to begin later in 2026. We’ll keep you updated as more details come out.
