OHS partners with Red Cross for Blood Drive

Oakland High School The Key Club (sponsored by Alice Brank) and the Red Cross Club performed an incredible job of recruitment and organization that resulted in 106 good units on a goal of 100 during their most recent blood drive. This drive will help save over 300 lives and was outstanding.

The next OHS blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday May 16. This positions Oakland to accomplish the maximum $3000 in scholarships with the positioning of this blood drive. As with last year, the 3rd blood drive in May helped get Oakland from $750 in scholarships to $2500 – and with the result of 2 weeks ago we are targeting to get to $3000!

In addition to maximizing scholarships at $3000 – hitting out target on May will make OAKLAND HIGH SCHOOL THE NUMBER 1 HIGH SCHOOL IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE for Red Cross blood drives. Go Pats!
