Oaklands will host its fifth-annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28th from 5:00 to 9:00pm. This unique event supports Oaklands Mansion and features many local craft brewers such as Calfkiller Brewing Company, Cedar Glade Brews, Dark Humor Brewery, Emerald Abbey Brewing, Mantra Artisan Ales, Mid-State Brew Crew, Mid-State Brewsters, Mos Alesley Brewing, Panther Creek Brews, Spring Street Brew Garage Brandon Bingman, Steel Barrel Brewery, Smackdab Brewing and Vitruvian Artisan Ales. In addition to this impressive list of craft brewers, they also welcome the number one independently owned cider producer in the nation, Bold Rock. They are bringing their multi award-winning IPAs.
The Knott Brothers band will take stage on the front porch of the mansion at 6:00. Sample German fare from FitzWilly’s, grab a gourmet hotdog from That’s My Dawg, comfort food from Something Southern Food Truck, a sweet treat from Baker’s Dozen Cookie Company or go south of the border with Catarina’s Foodtruck. If you want to learn more about the science behind the beer, our friends Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU)’s Fermentation Science Program will be here to represent their exciting new program and the art of craft beer. Silver Hill Medical Clinic will be giving away bottled water at their hydration station.
