Pavement Preservation Project Begins September 27

Contractors are expected to begin pavement preservation work on roads and parking lots throughout Stones River National Battlefield on Monday September 27, 2021. Visitors should expect periodic closures of park roads and parking lots for up to six weeks following that date. Some trails may also be closed periodically to prevent access to work areas.

This project will affect all park areas including the main park unit, McFadden Farm, Stones River National Cemetery, Fortress Rosecrans, Redoubt Brannan, and the General Bragg & Rosecrans Headquarters sites. Updates with details on closures will be posted daily on the park’s website and Facebook page.
