PAWS of Rutherford County Receives Thousands of Dollars in Honor of Betty White
Pet Adoption & Welfare Services (PAWS) of Rutherford County, TN has received over $7,000 in donations in response to the national Betty White Challenge.
The Betty White Challenge encouraged individuals to donate to their local animal shelter or organization on January 17, which would have been White’s 100th birthday. PAWS received nearly $6,000 on January 17, as well as additional donations in person and online including days before and after the challenge day.
“PAWS is amazed by the response to the challenge and very grateful to have received such a large donation in honor of Betty White and her dedication to animals,” says Director, Michael Gregory. “We send our sincerest thanks to all donors – your donation and support is making a big difference in the lives of the shelter pets.”
The money received will go towards various shelter advancements to support PAWS’ mission to provide the best shelter care and find loving homes to pets in need, as well as continue to provide education and support to the community.
