Police chase ends in fiery crash, adult and teenager arrested

Around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4th the La Vergne Police Department was notified by Metro Nashville Police that a vehicle that was stolen during a carjacking in Metro Nashville was possibly in La Vergne near the interstate.

LPD Officer Darby located the stolen vehicle within minutes and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver fled and Officer Darby pursued the possibly armed suspects onto the interstate. The suspect vehicle eventually left the roadway after the driver lost control on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna and the vehicle caught fire. Officers assisted the trapped occupants out of the vehicle and placed them into custody while other first responders and the fire department responded to the scene.

Two suspects arrested include one adult male and one female juvenile. They were turned over to the custody of Metro Nashville Police.
