Pre-K Applications Now Available

The Murfreesboro City Schools Voluntary Pre-K program, funded by a grant for low income or at-risk children, is now accepting applications. The program serves children zoned for a city school who will be 4, but not yet 5 years old, on August 15, 2020.

Pre-K applications and instructions are now online at http://www.cityschools.net/departments/preschool. Applications are also available in hard copy outside any MCS school location in a crate titled Pre-K.

The application should be completed in full and include the following documentation to determine eligibility:

  • Proof of income
  • Proof of address.
  • Copy of Official Birth Certificate.

Parents may choose to submit only the completed application at this time. MCS preschool staff will contact parents at a later date to obtain the final documents. However, eligibility cannot be determined until all documentation is submitted.

Preschool staff will contact applicants for any additional information needed via phone or email. If an address, phone number, or email changes, or if families have specific questions or concerns, please email [email protected].

Applications should be mailed to Murfreesboro City Schools, Attn: PreK, 2552 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37127

MCS preschool classrooms will be located in several schools for the 2020-2021 school year. The school or off-site locations for the preschool classrooms will be based on the space available.
