Pressley Neal Harwell obituary

Pressley Neal Harwell, age 86 of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro. He was a native of Mooresville, North Carolina and was the son of the late Floyd and Ida May Harwell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Effie Mae Harwell and a son, Richard Eugene Harwell.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Harwell of Murfreesboro, a sister, Karry Bostian and husband Bob of Kannapolis, NC; granddaughters, Sylvia Harwell, Tiffany King and husband Chad, all of Smyrna; great grandchildren, Tyler Hutchins, Alyssa Harwell, Kayli, Destiny, and Makenzie King; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Harwell was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from materials management at Vanderbilt University after twenty-five years of service.

Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial with military honors will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
