Proposed Lowe’s Coming to South Church Street

Here’s the latest update on the proposed Lowe’s development along 231 South Church Street heading toward Shelbyville.

After last week’s announcement from Mayor McFarland, there’s been a lot of buzz across social media about a new Lowe’s possibly coming to this area. We looked into it, and as of now, the project is still in the proposal stage.

That means it still has to go through the full planning and approval process with the city before any construction can begin. Nothing is finalized yet, but we’re hearing that the chances of this project moving forward are looking pretty good.

For reference, the proposed location is along South Church Street near Shelbyville Highway, across from Walmart and near MMC.

If everything gets approved, this could bring a major new addition to this side of Murfreesboro.
