Ray Tomberlain obituary

Cecil Ray Tomberlain, age 82 of the Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday November 25, 2018. Born and raised in the Leanna community, he was the son of the late Ernest Calvin and Mamie Dockery Tomberlain. Mr. Tomberlain was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Faye Wakefield Tomberlain who died in 2017, and a brother, J. W. Tomberlain.

Mr. Tomberlain is survived by his daughters, Tammy McAnally and her husband Dan of Smyrna, TN, and Karen Van Wyckhouse of Dallas, TX; sister, Ruth Harliss of Tullahoma, TN; grandchildren, Tyler, Melissa, Sam, Cameron, and Conner, and great-grandchildren, Kaden and Raylan.

Visitaiton will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday with Brother Dan Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Tomberlain was a U.S. Army veteran, a member, and served as Elder of The Assembly of Christ Church. He was known as a jokester and for decades, he was a long time car salesman.
