RCFR to Hire 30 Individuals to Assist with Filling Positions for County’s New Public Health/Safety Buildings

Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) seeks to hire 30 individuals to assist with filling positions for the County’s new Public Health/Safety buildings to be opened over the next year.

The department has options for uncertified recruits as well as certified firefighters looking to make a lateral move.

Farley notes that the department offers the following:

  • Proactive leadership that supports smart, aggressive firefighting, along with providing proper equipment to do so.
  • Safety through job competency, not risk aversion.
  • A welcoming, family atmosphere including regular off-shift outings and trips
  • Consistent, realistic training including special operations scenarios and live fire evolutions
  • All hazards response work including dive rescue, hazardous materials, confined space, cave rescue and more!
  • Flexible work schedule; 48 hours on and 96 hours off
  • Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System

STARTING PAY:
Uncertified / Recruit: $41,959.00
Lateral: $47,657.00
*** Lateral hires must show proof of Tennessee Commission on Fire Fighting or Pro Board Firefighter II, Emergency Medical Responder, & minimum 2 years paid experience
