RCS ALL-County Bands Concert Taking Place Friday

The 2022 RCS All-County Bands Concert will take place Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at World Outreach Church, and the public is encouraged to attend free of charge.

All RCS middle schools and comprehensive high schools will be participating, and more than 250 students will be playing. The students were selected for the RCS All-County Bands based on their Mid-state scores and director recommendations.

This year, 138 RCS students were also selected for Mid-State bands, and 15 of those students earned All-State status.

Eight students were the top scoring students on their instrument in the entire mid-state region. Those students are:

  • Maximillian Dauerer (Stewarts Creek High School – 11/12 Euphonium)
  • Evan Dye (Rockvale High School – 11/12 Tenor Saxophone)
  • Jack Lane (Siegel High School – 9/10 Eb Clarinet)
  • Jack Ledford (Stewarts Creek Middle School, 7/8 Alto Saxophone)
  • Lauren Parker (Stewarts Creek High School – 11/12 Tuba)
  • Griffin Pascual (Rockvale Middle School, 7/8 Tenor Saxophone)
  • Carter Smythe (Rockvale Middle School – 7/8 Baritone Saxophone)
  • Josie Yant (Siegel Middle School – 7/8 Flute)

The students will rehearse Thursday evening and all-day Friday leading up to the concert at 7 p.m. Friday at World Outreach Church. The students will work with guest conductors to prepare for the concert.
