Rebecca Akins obituary

Rebecca Akins, age 71 of Smyrna, Tennessee, died January 2, 2019 in Murfreesboro. She was a native of Jackson County, TN and a daughter of the late Harley and Dona Jackson. She was also preceded in death by a husband, James K. Akins, and siblings, Jean Johnson and Roy Jackson and Don Jackson.

Survivors include sons, Joey Davis and wife Aundrea of Mt. Juliet, and Steve Davis and wife Rhonda of Smyrna; grandchildren, Victoria Garner and husband Chris of Destin, FL, Dylan Davis of Mt. Juliet, Rosie Davis and fiancé Nathan Anderson of Lebanon, Tasha Wells and husband Jimmy and Hunter Davis and wife Emma, all of Murfreesboro, Adam Harrell of Indiana, and Taylor Davis and fiancé Brian Clouse of Smyrna; great grandchildren, Maddie Hammond, Sophia, Carter, and Mallie Wells and Oliver Clouse; sisters, Ann Allen, Wanda Key, Retta Langford; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Tony Dye will officiate, and burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery near Cookeville.
