Murfreesboro Road Construction Projects for March 29 – April 4

Utility Installation Work at E McKnight Dr and N Maple St

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be doing utility installation work. There will be partial lane closures and traffic shifts. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Right Turn Lane Improvement Work (Robert Rose Dr at Thompson Ln)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for the City of Murfreesboro will be making right turn lane improvements on Robert Rose Dr at Thompson Ln. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Right Turn Lane Improvement Work (Old Fort Pkwy at Gresham Ln)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be performing right turn lane improvements on Old Fort Pkwy at Gresham Ln. There will be lane closures and minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Sewer Repair Work on N Highland Ave between E College St and E Main St

Expected Lane Closures: Monday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Murfreesboro Water Resources Department crews will be making a sewer repair on N Highland Ave. The section of N Highland Ave between E College St and E Main St will be closed to through traffic. Residents will have access at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Drainage Improvement Work on Saint Andrews Dr between Belle Haven Dr and Genoa Dr

Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm: Murfreesboro Streets Department crews will be doing drainage improvement work on Saint Andrews Dr between Belle Haven Dr and Genoa Dr. Saint Andrews Dr will be closed to through traffic. Residents to and from Belle Haven Dr will have access from Highway 99 and residents to and from Genoa Dr will have access to Veterans Pkwy. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Underground Fiber Optics Installation Work (Memorial Blvd between Sulphur Springs Rd and Northfield Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: AT&T crews will be installing fiber optic lines on Memorial Blvd between Northfield Blvd and Sulphur Springs Road. There will be a lane closure on Memorial Blvd (northbound only) between Sulphur Springs Rd and Northfield Blvd. Southbound lanes will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Right Turn Lane and Utility Improvement Work (Memorial Blvd just north of Wendelwood Dr/Lt Patrick McBride Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be making right turn lane improvements on Memorial Blvd just north of Wendelwood Dr/Lt. Patrick McBride Dr. Southbound traffic on Memorial Blvd will be reduced to one lane. Northbound lanes will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Guardrail Removal and New Driveway Construction Work (W Northfield Blvd between N Thompson Ln and Garrison Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday, 8:00 am to Noon: Contractor for a private development will be removing guardrail and installing new driveway entrance on W Northfield Blvd just east of N Thompson Ln. There will be lane closures and minor traffic interruptions on W Northbound Blvd. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Pavement Repair (Medical Center Pkwy just west of N Thompson Ln)

Expected Lane Closures: Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm: Contractor for a private development will be making pavement repairs on Medical Center Pkwy just west of N Thompson Ln. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on Medical Center Pkwy. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Projects

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: City contractor will be milling and raising castings at the following streets:
1. Sulphur Spring Rd between W Northfield Blvd and Haynes Dr
Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

TDOT Resurfacing Projects

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, signals and paving on SR 99 from Cason Lane (L.M. 15.97 to I-24 in Murfreesboro (L.M. 18.12)
• Thursday March 26th through Saturday April 4th, beginning at 6AM until the work is complete The complete closure of the South Bound Lanes of Cason Lane at the intersection of SR 99. This closure is necessary to excavate and install the new gas lines for the project across this side road. During this temporary permanent lane closure, a detour will be utilized to maintain traffic flow on Cason Lane and for East and West bound traffic on SR 99 due to traffic turning off SR 99 on to this side road. The detour will divert traffic to Veterans Parkway to Cason Lane, per the City of Murfreesboro’s request. Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday morning, March 26th, and should continue through Saturday afternoon, on April 4th.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, I-24 SMART Corridor
• Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure as needed between MM 79-80 for sign foundation work.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The construction of pedestrian facilities on SR 10 Memorial Blvd from DeJarnette Ln to Thompson Ln in Murfreesboro
• Daily, 8:00AM-3:30PM, T There will be a right lane closure NB to excavate for sidewalk. One to two lanes will remain open at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
