The Rutherford County American Heart Association Announces John Dietrich as Chair of the 2019 Healthy for Good™ Heart Walk
The American Heart Association, the world’s leading voluntary health organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular disease, is pleased to announce John Dietrich, SVP of First National Bank of Middle TN, as the Chair of the 2019 Healthy for Good™ Heart Walk in Rutherford County.
John Dietrich, a Murfreesboro native, has been in banking for 28 years and joined First National Bank of Middle TN as SVP of Commercial Banking in 2018. Dietrich graduated from UT-Knoxville in 1991 with a BS in Business Admin-Finance, and from Riverdale High School. He is involved with various community organizations such as the Rotary Noon Club, Beasley Animal Humane Foundation, Howard’s Hope, UT Rutherford County Alumni Association, BEP, United Way, along with the American Heart Association, where he serves as a board member and past Heart Ball Chair. He is a 2007 Leadership Rutherford graduate, Paul Harris Fellow and Eagle Scout. John is married to his beautiful wife, Lisa, and has three daughters: Emma, Leah, and Emma Jean.

The Association’s annual Rutherford Healthy For Good™ Heart Walk, sponsored by Vanderbilt Heart, is set for September 21, 2019 at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic/The Greenway. The event begins at 8am with the walk starting at 9am. Individuals, teams and companies can sign up in advance at RutherfordHeartWalk.org for the non-competitive, three-mile walk. Hundreds of Rutherford County area residents are expected to raise their heartrates and funds for the Rutherford Country American Heart Association.
The Healthy for Good Heart Walk is part of The American Heart Association’s Healthy for Good movement which encourages Americans to lead healthier lives by delivering science-based recommendations, tools, tips and motivation to build healthier behaviors. Healthy for Good is a movement designed to rally millions of Americans to live healthier lives, inspire a lasting change, and unify people around the simple idea that making a small change today can create a difference for generations. This movement comes to life each year in 300 American cities when it is celebrated at the Healthy for Good Heart Walk. This staple event is a fun way to invest in your health and that of future generations, while honoring those who have been impacted by heart disease, stroke and congenital heart defects.
