The Rutherford County Drug Court Support Foundation will host an Interactive Open House for Rutherford County’s Recovery Court on November 10 in honor of Veterans Day.

The offices, located at 525 N University Street, will be open to the public from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“We will be giving tours of the facility, which includes our Veterans Treatment Court as well as Recovery, Mental Health, and DUI Courts,” said Recovery Courts Director Trish Breeding. “Staff will be available to answer questions surrounding our programs.”

Breeding says protective health measures will be in place due to COVID-19. “Attendees are encouraged to wear face coverings,” she noted.

Rutherford County Drug Court Support Foundation Board Members include: Thomas Parkerson, President, and members Kris Oliver, Jack Mitchell, Sandy Mitchell, Katrine Henderson, Ruth Hafner, David Coggin, Phillip Barnett, Jon Slager, Cindy Gossett, and Ned Coleman.

“Donations are welcome and all funds raised will be used to support the program,” said Breeding.

The mission of the Support Foundation is to financially support the 16th Judicial District Recovery Courts and provide community education about addiction, as well as identifying community resources that will enhance the Recovery Court participants’ ability to succeed in their recovery.
