‘Saint’ Nick Westbrook-Ikhine donates Christmas gifts to Simon Springs Community School
Tennessee Titans wide receiver fulfills students' wish lists
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is usually the one on the receiving end of touchdown passes, but today he is handing out Christmas gifts to students at Simon Springs Community School.
Westbrook-Ikhine received wish lists from each student at the school and personally purchased all the gifts.
“It seemed like the right thing to do,” Westbrook-Ikhine said. “We want to try to give kids a Christmas they can remember.”
Westbrook-Ikine, along with Titans wide receiver Colton Dowell, made a special visit to the school to give out to the gifts.
Dowell, who grew up in Lebanon and went to Wilson Central High School, said it was an easy decision to accompany his fellow teammate.
“Seeing the joy on a kid’s face is incredible,” Dowell said. “I know the world can be a tough place right now so hopefully we can bring some joy to the kids today. When Nick mentioned the opportunity to do this, I was honored to come along.”
“Simon Springs Community School is very appreciative for Nick’s generosity and support,” Simon Springs principal Samantha Wagner said.
