Second Fatal Crash on NW Broad Street
Murfreesboro Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is investigating a second fatal crash, this one involving a sedan and two motorcycles on NW Broad Street on Saturday afternoon.
One of the motorcycle riders died from his injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
One of the motorcycles caught fire. Firefighters with Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department quickly put the fire out.
The preliminary investigation revealed the two motorcycles collided into the rear of a Tesla heading outbound on NW Broad Street around 4:53 p.m.
The driver of the Tesla was not hurt.
The crash is under investigation by FACT.
UPDATE
One lane is closed in each direction of NW Broad near Harley Davidson dealership while the cause of the serious injury crash is being investigated. TDOT is assisting with traffic control.

Both outbound lanes of NW Broad Street near Harley Davidson are shutdown due to a serious injury crash involving a car and two motorcycles around 4:53 p.m. Saturday. One motorcycle caught fire. MFRD firefighters quickly put it out. We are still waiting on the condition of the two motorcycle riders. Traffic is being re-routed. Please find an alternate route.
