Siegel Model UN Shines at ALTMUN Conference with Multiple Award-Winning Delegates

Last weekend, Siegel Model United Nations competed in the regional ALTMUN Conference in Chattanooga. Siegel’s 25 delegates performed spectacularly against 450 fellow students from 16 schools across Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina. Representing Greece, Belarus, and the United Arab Emirates in 10 specialized committees, the delegates debated complicated international issues, including rapid militarization of the arctic, cyber espionage, combatting illicit gold mining, mitigating PFAS contamination, and documenting indigenous knowledge, among others. The following Siegel students earned individual awards:

Reaghan Fraser, Belarus – All-Star Best Delegate Award – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

D.J. Howse, Greece – Diplomacy and Position Award – Social and Humanitarian Committee

Galyn Terranova, United Arab Emirates – All-Star Best Delegate Award – Legal Committee
