Stevens Aerospace Announces Relocation to Facility in Smyrna
Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, one of America’s most accomplished companies engaged in maintenance, repair and overhaul of private and government aircraft, is relocating its operation to Smyrna Airport. Moving from Nashville International Airport, Stevens will become a part of the Hollingshead Aviation FBO campus with a 30,000 sq. ft hangar and room to grow.
“The Smyrna Airport offers ample room for growth and easy access to the attractions around downtown Nashville, as well as an airport leadership team that encourages and understands business,” said Stevens president Christian Sasfai.
Stevens Aerospace will relocate 75 jobs from Nashville to Smyrna, and will add 30 new jobs initially with the intention of growing its workforce.
“I’d like to thank Stevens Aerospace for its commitment to expand its operation in Middle Tennessee and create 30 jobs,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe. “As our economy goes through significant disruptions, it’s even more vital for us to support private investment and job creation, which can help Tennessee rebound.”

Stevens’ move brings them closer to MTSU, which has an award-winning aerospace program with numerous concentrations aligned to develop talent in the fast-growing subsectors of aviation.
