United Way 2017-18 Catalyst Program Class Announced
Eighteen individuals were recently selected to participate in United Way’s Catalyst program. The new class of business leaders, identified by the Catalyst Alumni Council, will participate in the nine-month (September – May) program to become engaged in social responsibility through the means of advocacy, giving and volunteerism.
McKenna Moore, Director of Volunteer and Strategic Engagement for United Way, said, “We are thrilled to kick off the Catalyst program with a vibrant group of leaders for 2017-18. This now nine-month program has been revamped to bring participants additional sessions in leadership education”.
The program’s ultimate goal is to train volunteers to serve in nonprofit leadership roles, such as nonprofit boards.
