United Way Launches 15th Annual Stuff the Bus Campaign
United Way of South Central Tennessee’s Stuff the Bus initiative is celebrating its 15th year of providing local students with the school supplies they need to begin the school year feeling prepared and confident. Donations will be accepted through July 27 to support students across Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford, and Warren counties.
Since 2012, Stuff the Bus has provided more than 50,000 local students with essential school supplies. United Way works directly with 10 school systems across its seven-county service area to ensure donated supplies reach students who need them most.
Community members can participate by donating supplies, volunteering, shopping the Amazon Wishlist, or making a financial donation. Needed supplies include:
- Crayons (24 pk)
- Markers, washable, broad tip (8pk)
- Scissors, 5″ blunt tip
- Glue sticks (2)
- Pencil box
- 2 pencils (12pk) Ticonderoga preferred
- Colored pencils (12 pk)
- Spiral Notebook (1 subject)
- Eraser (Large, Pink)
- Folder (two pockets)
- Pencil sharpener (double barrel)
- 12″ Ruler
Donations can be dropped off at public collection sites through July 27. Items purchased through the Amazon Wishlist can be shipped directly to the United Way office. For a complete list of collection sites and more information, visit yourlocaluw.org/stuffthebus.
