Ridenour Rehearsal Studios Offers Affordable Alternative for Musicians

Ridenour Rehearsal Studios is more than just a rehearsal and performance facility. Industry professionals, Derek Assaf, and Keith Ridenour opened their doors less than one year ago to tap into the thriving music scene in Middle Tennessee and provide musicians and teachers with a fun, creative, unique yet affordable way to play their music. In a short period of time, this well-kept secret in Murfreesboro has created quite a buzz within the music community offering a brand new alternative. There is nothing else like it in the area.

“In Nashville, rehearsal, performance and event spaces are much harder to get in to or are expensive,” Ridenour said. “We wanted to start at a price point that wouldn’t scare people and thought Murfreesboro was the ideal area since it is saturated with musicians but does not have many places to play.”

The 5,600 square foot complex has quickly become the latest Premier music facility, hosting clients from all ages and genres of music. The charismatic space features everything from 5 fully equipped soundproof rooms of various sizes with stages, 1 large performance room with stage, “The Alley,” (featuring 1,350 sq. ft. of rehearsal and lounge space, a state of the art sound system, lighting for auditions, band rehearsals, performances, live recordings, video shoots, etc.), and private lesson rooms which can also be utilized as individual writer’s rooms or collectively for writer’s retreats, label meetings, media days or meeting spaces in general. In fact, singer/songwriters even have the option of recording a demo of their song before leaving the studio. The multifaceted compound is also the ideal spot for cozy and intimate industry events boasting jewel tones and high-end decor throughout. The close proximity to Music City and Middle Tennessee State University’s renowned recording industry programs makes for an ideal spot for rising musicians and music industry professionals located only moments from the interstate, a stones throw from countless restaurants and is only 35 minutes from Music Row. There is extensive outdoor event space which can be utilized along with plenty of free parking.Equipment is available for rental with various options and packages to meet specific needs. Each room includes a professional PA system, two guitar amps, a bass and keyboard amp, and a drum kit so that guests don’t have to bring gear with them for practice.

Ridenour also offers world-class, industry-standard performance, vocal and instrumental training on most instruments with their “all roads lead to the stage” approach. Teachers are handpicked, accomplished professionals and have a great love for educating and inspiring future artists and musicians. They are available to help students reach their musical goals and bring their creative visions to life. Lessons are not only designed to coach instrument proficiency, mechanics and song interpretation, but also mic technique, body language and stage blocking and movement. With their one-of-a-kind “opening act” and “headliner” programs, upon completion of the course, students have the opportunity to showcase their progress in a concert setting for family and friends. Whether you are a new or experienced musician, Ridenour’s private music lessons will help to develop skills and take students talent to the next level.  Ridenour has already hosted several student-related events for the Murfreesboro and greater Nashville area. Most recently, they welcomed “Blue Light Sessions,“ for Omega Delta Si (PSI), an MTSU fraternity as well as a standing room only MTSU talent show judged by some of Music Row’s top industry professionals, AMP, and Love, Learning, Music benefit show.

Ridenour prides themselves in offering customers a one-of-a-kind environment to bring their music to life, whatever stage that may be, and with the best equipment available. They know exactly what it is you are looking for as  the entire staff are musicians too. All equipment is cared for and properly maintained by people who have made music their life’s passion.Eventually, Assaf and Ridenour hope to expand offerings to include workshops, more live recordings, concerts, and even music camps. They recently created a membership package for those who look forward to spending more time at the studio and want to take advantage of extra savings and perks.

Ridenour is the second facility of it’s kind to open. The first was Markee Music , located in Miami, Florida whose vision is to provide a world-class facility offering the best service, gear, atmosphere and customer service to musicians and bands that need and deserve rehearsal and recording space unlike any they’ve ever experienced. Their extensive list of clientele includes Rick Springfield, Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Sammy Hagar, Poison, Arturo Sandoval, Prince Royce, Nicko McBrain, Carmine & Vinnie Appice, Jose Feliciano, and many more. With the success of Markee Music, it was obvious that the next step was to open Ridenour expanding the brand and creativity in the southeast.

Open 7 days a week, Ridenour’s technical personnel are always available to assist and to ensure you have an amazing experience.
