St Clair Senior Center to reopen October 4

After a six-month closure due to COVID-19, St. Clair Senior Center will open with restrictions Sunday, October 4. Patrons are encouraged to wear masks, and all CDC and state protocols will be followed including social distancing and limiting group activity numbers.

“We are looking forward to seeing our patrons again,” said Mark Owens, Facility Superintendent. “We are strongly encouraging that seniors wear a mask into the facility. This isn’t a mandate but a strong encouragement to protect themselves and others.”

Certain activities will be limited, including those where:

  • materials are shared (person to person)
  • the area cannot be properly sanitized
  • participants are required to be in a small space (less than 6′ apart), or
  • any program where it is deemed unsafe for the seniors at this time.

A list of activities may be found on the calendar at murfreesboroparks.com.

St. Clair Senior Center is open to citizens age 60 and over. A wide variety of activities are offered such as exercise classes, arts & crafts, educational clinics, themed dances, and bingo.

The facility is located at 325 St. Clair Street. Hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Membership at St. Clair Senior Center is free; some activities may require a fee to participate.
