Vote Rutherford Plans To Provide Free Access To Local Candidate Information

On February 26, 2026 Vote Rutherford filed with the state of Tennessee to begin operations as a non-profit organization. Co-Founders Joshua Jensen and Colin Williamson are joined by Administrator Becca Gibbs in an ambitious effort to inform Rutherford County voters about their local candidates. The organization has launched with a mission to inform the voters of Rutherford County to make educated decisions in the voting booth. To that end, the team is committed to non-partisanship and working directly with candidates across the political spectrum. Information will be published free of charge at GoVoteRutherford.com.
The website is available in beta starting today, and will launch with complete candidate information for the May 5 County Primary Elections by early April, 2026. As part of their mission, the team has identified a three part strategy to provide a valuable resource to Rutherford County voters.
- Research the issues most important to the voters.
- Investigate the candidates’ positions on those issues.
- Educate the public on this information.
“Voting uninformed isn’t fair for us, the candidates, or our democracy, and I’m so excited to play a part in ensuring that our local elections have better information available.”, said Vote Rutherford Co-President Joshua Jensen.
The Vote Rutherford board and their partners are excited to share this resource with the community. Voters are encouraged to follow the Vote Rutherford accounts on Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date and candidates are encouraged to email GoVoteRutherford@gmail.com for additional info.
