Walter “Poochie” Raybon obituary

Walter “Poochie” Raybon, age 51 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019. A native of Nashville, TN, he was preceded in death by his father, Walter Raybon, Sr.

Mr. Raybon is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cindy Croom Raybon; mother, Barbara Reid Raybon of Nashville, TN; siblings, Reginaid “Reggie” Campbell, Donnie Reid and wife Palace, Charles Reid and wife Susan, Debbie McCullough and husband James all of Nashville, TN, and Vivian Dillard of Hendersonville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and loving pet dogs, Iggy, Lulu, Billy, Shirley, Gracie, and Missy.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday following the visitation with Bob Johnson officiating.

Mr. Raybon was a game room attendant at Patterson Community Center. He was a Christian and enjoyed every kind of music, exercising, lifting weights, and reading the Bible and other religious books. Mr. Raybon was a graduate of Maplewood Comp High School where he played football for the Maplewood Panthers. He was also a member of the Sigma Psi Omega Fraternity.
