Waylon Anthony Helton obituary
Waylon Anthony (Tony) Helton, age 63, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 after an extended illness. A native of the Fosterville Community, he worked for United Service Equipment for 29 years before retiring from the Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County after 12 years of service. He was a faithful member of the Fosterville Church of Christ, avid lover of hunting, farming, outdoor work, and beloved community member.
Mr. Helton was born on February 2, 1955 to Bob and Betty (Walker) Helton of Fosterville. He deeply loved and was devoted and dedicated to his family. He is survived by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Martha (McCallie) Helton; sons Hunter Helton of Fosterville, Clint Insell and his wife Jennifer (West) of Tullahoma; daughter McKenzie (Insell) Woods and her husband Bill of Shelbyville; grandchildren Rhett, Isabella, and Leigha Insell, Tristan Shirley, and Lane and Faith Meredith; sister Renee Baskin and her husband Sam of Walter Hill; brother-in-law David McCallie (wife Bonnie); sisters-in-law Marilyn Morgan and Marjorie Cantrell; nephews Ryan and Brandon Baskin, Michael and Adam Morgan; nieces Lillie McCallie and Jennifer Gentry; an uncle, aunt, and numerous cousins.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, June 17 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fosterville Church of Christ with Carter Woodruff, Jeff Adcock, and Rick Williams officiating. Burial will take place at the Fosterville Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Craig Lynch, Winston Brothers, Jerry Walker, J.D. Milligan, Frank Brothers, and Eddie Helton. The family requests memorials be sent to the Fosterville Church of Christ.
