What’s Happening Off Old Fort Parkway Construction Update
Here’s a quick update on the construction happening off Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro. If you’ve driven by recently or noticed the road closure between American Signature Furniture and the nearby parking lot, you’re not alone. A lot of people have been asking what’s going on.
The work is part of a city sewer rehabilitation project that began in 2025 and continues into 2026. Contractors have been repairing underground pipes throughout Murfreesboro, and this location required some deeper work due to challenging soil conditions and the depth of the pipe.
At this spot, crews were working on a pipe about 25 feet underground, which required temporarily shutting down the frontage road. The good news is the road is now back open, so traffic is flowing again and access to nearby businesses like Chick-fil-A and Steak ‘n Shake is back to normal.
It looks like crews are putting the finishing touches on the project, and we’ll share more updates as soon as a final completion timeline is confirmed.
If you have any questions or want updates on other projects around town, drop them in the comments. Thanks for watching.
