Winners of Christmas competitions announced at tree lighting ceremony

Winners for the 9th annual Parade of Lights competition were announce at the annual tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 7th following the parade. This year’s theme was the 12 Days of Christmas.
- 1st Place: Debbie’s School of Dance
- 2nd Place: Miracle Baptist Church
- 3rd Place: Rutherford County Democratic Party
Light Up La Vergne
A dozen families entered this year’s Light Up La Vergne holiday lights competition. For the first year a family’s home decorations could win one of three categories: Best Theme, Classic Christmas or The Griswold Award.
- Best Theme: The Hill Family – 3018 Herman B Rader Drive
- Classic Christmas: The Byard Family – 112 Taylor Drive
- The Griswold Award: The Henn Family – 1001 Ash Drive
