Work House center escapee apprehended

An escapee from the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center is back in custody Friday.

Fugitive Justin Baucom, 30, of Smyrna, escaped from the work center April 1.

Sheriff’s Warrants Capt. David Hailey said Criminal Warrants Detectives Jack Keisling and Gene Thorpe apprehended Baucom in Goodlettsville Friday.

“Both deputies put in countless surveillance and tracking hours attempting to locate Baucom,” Hailey said.

Keisling charged Baucom with felony escape. He is also facing charges of violation of community corrections. He is being held in Rutherford County Adult Detention Center while awaiting court dates.
