Crews Respond to Car Fire at Florence Market

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department’s Ladder 7 and Engine 5 responded to a vehicle fire at the Florence Market located at 5409 NW Broad Street just after 11:30 Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the owner of the vehicle stated he pulled into the gas station and heard a pop. He quickly got out and realized it was on fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished and fortunately, no one was injured. “The business did receive minor radiant heat damage,” said Captain Chris Ayers, “but it could have been a lot worse.”
