I-24 West reopens after 6-car crash in Murfreesboro

Interstate 24 West in Murfreesboro has reopened after two accidents near Medical Center Parkway Friday.

Authorities told News 2 has many as six vehicles were involved and that the second accident was caused by a flat tire.

Initially the interstate was shut down, but by 1:30 p.m. three lanes had reopened to traffic. The final lane reopened a short time later.

Traffic was backed up for several miles.
