6th Annual Hometown Heroes Walk for Children

“Lace up your tennis shoes and join us for the Hometown Heroes Walk for Children,” announced Child Advocacy Center director, Sharon De Boer. “The Board of Directors has been tracking COVID-19 infection rates and vaccination rates and voted to host the event three ways this year.”

People who feel safe or have been vaccinated may participate in person. Participants who are being “COVID-careful” can view the event virtually through Facebook Live. Or you can choose to walk in your neighborhood with your family and friends.

However you choose to participate, please show your support for child abuse victims by pre-registering online at https://cacrutherford.networkforgood.com/events/26695-hometown-heroes-walk-for-children. People who are attending in-person are encouraged to pre-register so that the Child Advocacy Center has a count for the sack lunches. You can also have a walker registration form emailed to you by contacting the Center at (615) 867-9000.
