Reisha Watson promoted to Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department Finance Manager
It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Reisha Watson to the position of Finance Manager for the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD).
Reisha has been a dedicated employee of the City of Murfreesboro for 19 years, including the past 7 years with MFRD, where she has served as the department’s Budget Analyst. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and a strong commitment to supporting the financial health and operational success of our department.
In her new role as Department Finance Manager, Reisha will play a more strategic part in aligning our financial operations with the continued growth of MFRD. She will take on expanded responsibilities in financial planning for future purchases, capital projects, and long-term departmental initiatives.
“Reisha is an incredible asset to our department and city. Her attention to detail, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to excellence make her the perfect choice for this newly created role. I’m excited to see the great things she will continue to accomplish as we all work together in moving our great department forward,” said Jamie Bigelow, Deputy Fire Chief.
To further strengthen our administrative structure, all civilian employees will now report to Reisha in her capacity as Finance Manager. This will allow her to provide unified leadership, support, and professional development opportunities for our essential civilian team members.
“Reisha’s promotion reflects her proven capabilities and our confidence in her ability to help guide MFRD into its next phase of growth and excellence. Please join us in congratulating Reisha on this well-deserved advancement,” Bigelow added.
