Mixtape 80s Tribute Band Takes Over Friday Night Live in Murfreesboro

Get ready to go back to the 1980s! Mixtape, one of the region’s most popular 80s tribute bands, joins us ahead of their Friday Night Live performance in downtown Murfreesboro.

We talk about everything from their favorite 80s songs and the evolution of their setlist to the wild outfits, big hair, loyal fans and incredible energy they bring to every performance. Mixtape explains why they work so hard to recreate these classic songs exactly the way fans remember hearing them on the original albums.

The band also gives us a look behind the scenes at what goes into a Mixtape show, including their two-and-a-half-hour nonstop Friday Night Live performance and what they love seeing from the crowd.

From Poison, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi to Bryan Adams and plenty of other 80s favorites, this conversation is packed with music, memories and plenty of laughs.
