New Salem Highway and Veterans Parkway Project Hits Major Milestone
The New Salem Highway and Veterans Parkway improvement project in Murfreesboro has reached a major milestone.
Crews recently completed raising the grade at the New Salem Highway and Veterans Parkway intersection, allowing the roadways to properly tie together. Work is now moving forward with base stone installation, culvert work and other improvements.
The project is currently expected to be substantially complete by December 2027. At that point, the roadway should be open and drivable, although drivers may still see construction barrels and crews completing final work such as striping and other finishing touches.
