Holiday Magic Comes to Life at Homer Pittard Campus School Through MTSU and Gaylord Opryland Partnership

Gaylord Opryland Resort and Middle Tennessee State University partnered to bring a live holiday cirque production to the students of Homer Pittard Campus School on Thursday.

Students, staff and parents filled the gymnasium to watch the book “POMP, SNOW, and CIRQUEumstance” by author Neil Godlberg, come to life. Inspired by Goldberg’s book, the cirque production’s partnership with MTSU was designed to encourage students to use their imagination and experience reading beyond the pages of a book.

Students in attendance watched a mini performance of the production and met the cast members and author. They were also each given a complimentary copy of the book.

“At Campus School, we cherish our ability to provide unique and memorable learning experiences for our students.,” said Principal Dr. Sherry King. “We want our students to see reading as more than something they do at school. We want them to discover the joy, imagination, and possibilities that come from a great book.”

The live production will return to Gaylord Opryland Resort for its second Nashville Residency November 24 through December 31.
