Lamar Alexander and Bill Frist Talk Leadership and Public Service at MTSU
Former U.S. Senators Lamar Alexander and Bill Frist visited MTSU for a conversation about leadership, civility, and the lasting importance of public service.
After touring campus, the former Tennessee senators joined students and guests at Tucker Theatre for “Leadership and Public Service: Past, Present, and Future.” They shared experiences from their careers and discussed building trust while standing up for their ideas.
The event also highlighted Alexander’s memoir, “The Education of a Senator: From JFK to Trump,” and his hope that sharing nearly 60 years of experience in public life will inspire others to serve their communities and country.
