Annual Touch-a-Truck event set for Sept. 26

Trucks, a helicopter, a boat and other specialty vehicles will be on display during the annual Touch-a-Truck event Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at World Outreach Church, 1921 New Salem Highway.

The free, family-friendly event will feature more than 20 vehicles for children and families to explore. Displays will include construction and utility trucks, drones, an ambulance, fire engines, police vehicles and other specialty vehicles.

Sponsored by the Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force, Touch-a-Truck gives families an opportunity to get an up-close look at vehicles and equipment used by public safety agencies and other organizations throughout the community.

A car seat safety check will also be available, giving parents and caregivers an opportunity to have child safety seats checked for proper installation.

Food vendors will be available on site.
