Berlie Jones, Jr. obituary
Berlie Hester Jones, Jr., age 83 of Eads, TN, formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Saturday April 21, 2018. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Berlie H. Jones, Sr. and Mattie Miller Jones. Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa J. Moore, and brothers, Houston, Howard, and Ed Jones all of Murfreesboro, TN.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 63 years, Daisy Bugg Jones; daughters, Susan J. Field and her husband Jeff, of Eads, TN, and Renee J. Sharp and her husband David Mayhall of Cordova, TN; a grandson, Tyler Field and his wife Whitney of Memphis, TN; a granddaughter Shannon Field of Memphis, TN, and a great grandson William Sean Field of Memphis, TN.
Visitation will be Thursday April 26, 2018, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Rev. Steve Wisner will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was a member of the Baptist Church, a US Army veteran, and retired from Union Oil Company of California.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart, or Kidney Foundations, Living Hope Church of Piperton, TN, or LeBonheur Methodist Children’s Hospital of Memphis, TN in memory of Mr. Jones.
