Not one…but TWO Oakland High School students have been accepted into Ivy League schools for next year.

Alvin Synarong and Olivia Zietz have been accepted into Ivy League schools for the fall.  Alvin has been accepted to Princeton and Olivia has been accepted to University of Pennsylvania.   Dreams do come true at Oakland High School.

This is an amazing accomplishment for these young people.  The admission rate for Princeton is about 6.5% (29,303 total applicants). UPenn admission rate about 9% (38,918 total applicants).

Oakland High School is very proud of these students.  Both Alvin and Olivia are part of the Oakland High School International Baccalaureate program.  The IB curriculum is research based and proven to produce results.  Students in our IB program receive the benefits of a truly unique curriculum focused on inquiry, communication and thinking.
