Bill Nye “The Science Guy” Surprises Smyrna Elementary Students
Bill Nye “The Science Guy” recently stopped by for a special visit to celebrate fourth-grade teacher Ivy Miller, who was named the winner of the 2026 America’s Favorite Teacher competition hosted by Colossal!
During his visit, Nye shared stories about growing up during the beginning of the Space Age and gave students an exciting look at what the future of space exploration could hold.
The celebration got even better when Miller was presented with a $25,000 check as part of her grand prize!
Congratulations to Ivy Miller on this incredible achievement, and a huge thank you to Bill Nye and Colossal for making it a day the students and staff won't soon forget!
