Murfreesboro Caregivers and Community Leaders Show Support for Donate Life America
On the afternoon of April 12th, 2022, care providers, hospital administration, and Donor Life ambassadors gathered to raise the “Donate Life” flag at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford. The Donate Life flag flies at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford through the end of the month as a testament to the organ, eye, and tissue donors who gave the greatest gift, the gift of life. Further, the flag symbolizes commitment to the mission of saving and improving lives through donation and raises awareness of the fact that, on any given day, approximately 114,000 Americans are waiting for a transplant. One organ donor can save up to eight lives, and one tissue donor can improve the lives of more than 100 others.
April is National Donate Life Month and, throughout this month, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford associates will be wearing green and blue, participating in a prayer vigil, and using their voices to raise awareness for this cause.
